Available infrastructure – System Services

The System Services area operates several modern computer centers which form the basis for the complete range of services of circ IT. Several hundred servers provide the background for highly available applications and these are operated by experts from System Management. Their activities include monitoring, data protection, installation management and application support.

Requests in the field of voice communications are dealt with by the team from Communication Services. The team operates high-level telecommunications systems with several thousand connections at various locations in Germany. Its sphere of activity includes conception and commissioning of the systems as well as the negotiation of favourable conditions for data and voice communication.

If required Desktop Management also manages clients’ workplace equipment. This includes looking after personal computers as well as telephone and modern mobile end devices. Many contemporary applications are provided on the basis of this infrastructure, including the development of company-wide domains and the operation of sophisticated groupware and e-mail solutions.

As our clients come from all over Germany and beyond, Network Management operates a complex network for voice and data communication with its partners. These networks end with our clients and at this point we also ensure the operation of the local networks. This topology makes possible fast and highly available access to the Internet and enables us to provide server farms for the major online portals. Security Management ensures smooth and in particular secure operation of the highly sensitive areas.

A Service Desk has been established for contact with our users. This is where all requests made to us are registered, classified and passed on for further processing. Care is taken to ensure that troubleshooting takes place within the agreed quality framework and that users are kept informed of the status of their requests. The objective is to remove the fault as quickly as possible without red tape.

When organising the interaction between the different areas of System Services, we employ established standards such as ITIL. This gives our clients the opportunity to concentrate on the established interfaces in requirements management.
