Media Services provides all the means necessary for the creation of printed publications. From the issuing of the news to the printed publication, many work steps are required which must be provided reliably and precisely.

The necessary work steps vary according to the character of the publication. With our services we are able to produce not only newspapers and magazines but also specialist publications. For this purpose we make available our system architecture tailor-made according to your wishes and the requirements of the editorial organisation and the production process. In cooperation with other sectors of our service portfolio we also make crossmedial production possible via several output channels. In doing so, we support the entire spectrum of crossmedial editorial organisations – from integrated print/online compilation to dedicated editorials for print and online channels.

At the centre of our system architecture is the ability to synchronise the processes of the editorial offices with the processes of advertising distribution and production. The result is a publication production process which also meets the challenging variants of newspaper production involving many editions and a high degree of topicality.

We currently manage several hundred editorial workplaces for the compilations of our clients. Our clients expect from this process permanent availability of the production systems. We fulfil these expectations in cooperation with our colleagues from System Services who provide the necessary infrastructure and operate this at a high-quality level. It is no longer necessary for publishers affiliated in this way to operate their own infrastructure; these publishing houses can benefit much more from the high availability scenarios of our computer centres. This enables them to avoid expensive investments in a redundant infrastructure.
